Our company, Meat Craft, was born out of a passion for traditional methods of preparing dried meat and a love for unique flavors that can transport us to different parts of the world. It all started as a small home project where we experimented with various recipes for Biltong.

Beginnings

Initially, it was just a hobby, a way to relax and enjoy time spent in the kitchen. We experimented with different spices, drying techniques, and types of meat. Each new piece of biltong was the result of many hours of trial and error, but also an endless fascination with how different ingredients and processes affect the final taste and texture.

Inspiration

Over time, our products began to gain recognition among family and friends. Inspired by their positive feedback, we decided to share our creations with a broader audience. This is how the idea of founding Meat Craft was born – a company that delivers the highest quality dried meat, prepared with attention to every detail.

Building Experience

The initial steps were challenging, but determination and belief in our product helped us overcome all obstacles. I personally built a biltong box, which became a key element of our home production process. My professional experience also includes working for a company that produced biltong, which unfortunately was acquired by a larger corporation and no longer exists. These experiences allowed me to understand both traditional production methods and the commercial approach to drying meat.
